Br. George Hubl, O.S.B.

Br. George made his monastic profession of vows on Aug. 6, 1999. He was instituted as an Acolyte in 2007.

Brother George was born in Oklahoma City and grew up near Norman, OK, where he attended St. Joseph Parish with his family. Br. George completed a bachelor's degree at St. Gregory's University in 2008 and earned a degree in culinary arts at Oklahoma State University – Okmulgee in 2015.

Br. George enjoys working out-of-doors and serves as caretaker for monastery and campus grounds. He is an accomplished photographer, and many of his photos are featured in MonksOK! magazine. He assists with maintenance of the Abbey website. He makes artisan soap for Mission Monks, LLC, which can be purchased in The Monks Marketplace, LLC.
